HOLA MI FAMILIA!!!
Querido mi familia,
This has been the hardest yet most rewarding week of my life!!! Let me try to answer as many questions as I can:
-My companion's name is Hermana Womack and I LOVE HER TO DEATH!!! She is from San Diego, California and is going to the same mission as me!! YAY!! The rest of my district is going to Costa Rica.
- I have seen a total of 15 people I know here at the CCM (MTC). Elder Neider from Mtn Ridge is in my district but other than that, I didn't know anybody else.
-Elder Tippets is in my zone!! He leaves next Monday, I believe... not exactly sure.
- I have seen Elder Weaver and Elder Wood around campus but not a lot.
-SUNDAYS ARE STILL MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE WEEK. Now I love Sundays even more- devotionals and church are so spiritually uplifting.
Ok. this is really hard writing letters. I don't know what to say. Now I understand why other missionaries don't put a lot of detail in their letters...
-My district: H' Womack (CA), H Chandia (UT), H Morales (OH), Elder Leska (AZ), Elder Neider (Cedar Hills), Elder Vandermayden (Layton), Elder Miller (AZ)
I love my district!! They have me laughing and learning soooo much everyday. Elder Vandermayden is like an Elder Calhun (sp) and he has us laughing so hard! It is the weirdest thing sitting in a class with all of them ALL DAY LONG. I love it though:)
-I am on West campus. Cool story: the entire campus is Spanish speaking. That means we can go around campus speaking/ practicing Spanish with each other.
-Exercise everyday: BBALL!!! I love playing with the Hermanas here- it is so easy going and intense at times:)
-Nicole!! I SAW YOUR BROTHER!!! He's doing well.
-OK. SPANISH. TEACHING. On my second day here, I had the opportunity to teach my first lesson- ALL IN SPANISH. Since then I have taught three lessons and I am working on my fourth. I have learned the power of prayer and testimony when trying to invite the spirit into your lesson.
-What I know in spanish: how to pray, how to testify, and words here and there that help me teach a lesson. I can't believe how much spanish I have learned, but not only that, how much spiritual things pertaining to my progress as a missionary.
Spiritual story of the week: H Womack and I were teaching our investigator, and neither of us knew what to say. I have never said so many "uh's" in my life. Finally, after much frustration, I decided to just bare a simple testimony. I felt the spirit so strong and I knew my investigator did too. Nothing is more powerful than that moment when your investigator feels what you are trying to portray!!
Funny story of the week:
-In Tuesday Devotional, these Hermanas behind me started plucking little hairs off of my head. They said to each other, "She doesn't even know!" Ha. I knew. If they kept it up, I was planning on reaching back and adjusting my hair and hit their hands ;) Haha, I wish that happened. I was laughing so hard!
Wednesday is my Prep Day and I got to go to the Provo Temple. It is so beautiful!! I also got to be a host for new missionaries which was exciting and I knew what it was like to be in their shoes.
I would love to hear from all y'all and how life's treating you so please ( if it isn't to much to ask) WRITE ME!!!
Mucho love,
Hermana Beardall
(If you wrote me a letter then I will be writing you back.... soon...)
